Who provides the app

Information you enter

The app stores the information you enter to prepare field-test records: customer and tester names, property names and addresses, receiving authority names, assembly details, serial numbers, pressure readings, test outcomes, certification details, signer acknowledgements, and optional manually entered location details. It also stores photos you choose, generated reports, local reminder information, and a local history of record changes.

Photos may show personal information. Select only information you are authorized to record. A typed signer acknowledgement is part of the saved test record; the app does not independently verify a signer’s identity or certification.

How information is used

Information is processed on your device to save drafts, reopen fieldwork, record completed tests, generate PDF reports and show due work. If you enable notifications, Android may show reminder information on your device and lock screen according to your system notification settings. The free tier allows five new completed reports. A one-time USD 7.99 Google Play purchase unlocks unlimited reports and removes ads permanently. Google Play processes the purchase; Testport caches the resulting lifetime entitlement on this device.

Collection and sharing

Google Mobile Ads automatically collects and shares with Google the device IP address, app interactions (such as launches, taps and ad views), diagnostics, and device or account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID. Google states these data are used for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention and are encrypted in transit using TLS. Testport does not add record contents to ad requests or send customer, property, reading, signature or photo contents to the ads SDK. Testport does not operate an advertising or analytics server. See Google's Privacy Policy and Google Mobile Ads data disclosure. Where required, Google UMP provides ad consent and privacy choices in the app.

When you choose Share PDF or Share photo, Android lets you select another app or recipient. The PDF can contain customer, site, tester, reading, signer and other details recorded for that test. Field photos stay with the local record and are shared separately; they are not embedded in the PDF. The app you choose handles the shared copy under its own privacy practices. Sharing is your action; it is not automatic synchronization.

Permissions and device access

Photo selection uses Android's photo picker, or a system document picker where the photo picker is unavailable. The app requests Internet and network-state access for AdMob ads, Google Play Billing and consent choices. It does not request camera, location or broad storage permissions; coordinates are entered manually. Notification permission is requested only when you choose to enable reminders. You can deny or revoke it and still use field-test records.

Storage, retention and deletion

Records, imported photos, reports, the free-report counter and a cached lifetime-unlock status are kept in the app's private storage on your device until you remove the app's data. The five-report free counter may reset if you clear app data or reinstall. A lifetime purchase can be restored through the Google Play account used to buy it. You can remove a photo from a draft before completing it. Android backup and automatic device-transfer backup are disabled for this release. The developer cannot restore records lost from your device.

To delete all local app data, use Android Settings → Apps → Testport → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. These actions remove the app’s stored records and settings. Copies you shared or saved using other apps may remain with those apps or recipients; remove them separately. Contact the support email above if you need help.

Security and your responsibilities

The app uses Android's app-private storage and grants temporary access only to reports or photos you choose to share. Google Play handles purchase processing and the app caches the unlock state locally. Protect your device with a screen lock and share records only with appropriate recipients. No device or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Keep a separate copy of important exported reports and photos.

Support messages

If you email the developer, the information in your message and your email address will be used to respond to your request. Do not send customer records or sensitive information unless necessary for the support issue. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing the same address, subject to any applicable retention obligations.

Intended users

The app is intended for professional field testers and service personnel, not for children. It is a recordkeeping tool; it does not certify equipment, verify professional credentials, or guarantee acceptance by a water authority.

This policy page

This page has no application-level analytics, advertising, forms or tracking scripts. Its hosting service may process routine technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the page. Opening this page does not transmit your field-test records.

Changes

This policy will be updated when the app’s data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current policy. New cloud, account or other data-sharing features would require an updated disclosure before use.
